Do I need prior dance experience?
There are no prerequisites for beginners, as we specialise in teaching beginner adults.
Do I need a partner?
A partner is not required for any dance class (private or group). In a group class, if it involves dancing with a partner, you simply partner other students. In a private class you are paired with a professional instructor.
How do I get started?
You simply call 0405 476 069 to book in a lesson time that suits yourself and an instructor.
Is there a specific age group?
Dancing is for everyone, we cater for all ages at any stage. The dancefloor also provides tuition for children as well.
What should I wear?
Any comfortable attire that allows you to move freely. Shoes are to be worn, that offer good support and allow enough slip and grip ie. leather soled shoes. If you want to wear heels a 2-3inch heel is recommended. If you want to purchase dance shoes we are more than happy to give you some recommendations.
Which is better for me, Private or Group Dance classes?
Private dance classes offer the most concentrated instruction, as they are one to one with an instructor and are customised to suit your own pace of learning and dance desires. They are offer more scheduling flexibility, so they are better for those who live busy lifestyles. If your budget is limited, group dance classes are an affordable option. Group dance classes are also well-suited to people who prefer a more social experience and group learning environment.
How long will it take me to become a good dancer?
Progress varies for each individual, however we do recommend to speed your rate of learning to keep your lessons close together and regular, as this will help you to retain your learning from lesson to lesson.
